'' This is a comprehensive introduction to using AutoCAD to produce 2D drawings. Participants gain hands on experience of AutoCAD through a series of practical exercises. On completion participants will have developed a good understanding of the functions and applications of AutoCAD for the preparation of industry standard CAD drawings. Delivered by an accredited AutoDesk Training Centre, AutoDesk-endorsed RMIT Statement of Participation awarded. No previous experience in AutoCAD is required, however a basic understanding of PC operation and the Windows environment is recommended. Course Content includes; Introduction to the AutoCAD interface, Setting up drawings and templates, Ways to draw accurately using various coordinate entry methods and OSNAP, Using 2D drawing and editing commands, Exploring display commands (ZOOM, PAN etc), Reusing drawing elements - Blocks and WBlocks, Text, dimensioning and hatching, Organising the drawing with Layers, Setting up Layouts for Plotting, Methods for efficiency and speed in drawing ...''
