'' This unit explore fabric applications for interiors. Selection and specifications, estimating and quoting for applications ranging from sofas to cushions, drapes, rugs, wall hangings, carpets and window coverings are included. Properties of various materials are evaluated for suitability, wear, visual effect, mood and character. Soft furnishings are applied to both historical and contemporary interiors. Materials such as woven and non-woven fabrics (leather, polymers) their fibres and production methods are evaluated and selected for interior products and finishes for both domestic and commercial situations. ...''
