This course is designed for audio editors and engineers who wish to learn more about the methods and uses of voiceover recording. Using a professional Pro Tools digital recording and editing system, including a Digidesign ProControl, students will explore microphone techniques, mic placement, working with talent, automoatic dialogue replacement (ADR), various recording techniques, including Foley sounds, and how to use edit groups and alternate playlists to streamline production. The course will also cover instrument recording, as well as how to utilize various plug-ins in a recording session to make your mix sound as good as it can. This class is taught using a professional Pro Tools studio, equipped with a Digidesign Pro control digital mixing board/control surface.
