'' This three-hour seminar examines the choices producers make about what to shoot and what to include in the final cut. Example segments from a documentary produced by the instructor will be used to examine issues such as selecting a topic, focusing on that topic, structuring the topic in pre-production and production, and ethical considerations. This course is most appropriate for those who have ideas for a documentary but have not yet produced one. Some experience in the field is helpful. Handouts for the class will include:
