'' This course is designed to develop the language skills and knowledge required to fully participate in an English-speaking work or study environment. It leads to certification from the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA). The course allows students to develop their skills in reading, writing listening and speaking in English, and to develop confidence in interacting with others in a variety of contexts. Students will be able to increase their linguistic knowledge of specific aspects of work or study in contexts where English is the medium of communication.
Certification
Successful completion of the course leads to the award of the Intermediate II Certificate in English for Speakers of Other Languages from the Scottish Qualifications Authority.
Progression
The course may provide progression to:
