Course Description:

'' This workshop provides hands-on training in a professional studio environment using Pro Tools/TDM HD systems for maximum learning in a minimum time frame. Topics in this course include basic computer and Pro Tools TDM/LE hardwarde connections, basic and advanced editing techniques, the TDM mixing environment, music production and post-production exercises, and digital processing via Digidesign and the third-party developers plug-ins. Participants acquire the knowledge and skills to help them enter real-world working environments and complete a project using Pro Tools. Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of Macintosh computers and basic audio concepts. Elective course in Certificate Programs in Recording Engineering; Songwriting; and Film, Television, and Digital Entertainment Media. Fulfills Music Technology requirement in Certificate Program in Film Scoring. Enrollment limited; enrollment prior to the first class required. Visitors not permitted. Required text: The Complete Pro Tools Handbook and The Complete Pro Tools Shortcuts by Valenzuela. ...''
