'' As the name implies, this course is an intensive introduction to Visual Age Java programming for existing mainframe programmers. Through the use of lectures and hands-on labs, students will gain practical experience in writing Java applications. Visual Age is a very complex (but feature rich) development environment. This course not only teaches you the Java language, but also shows you how to become proficient with and get the most out of those Visual Age features. Java is a rapidly changing language. As such, our course is always kept current to ensure it includes all of the latest Java updates and enhancements.

The Goal
At the end of this course, you will be able to use Visual Age for Java (or any other Java compiler) to write applications in the Java language.

Pre-Requisites
Students must possess a working knowledge of any programming language. No previous experience with Java or object oriented programming is required.
