Course Description:

'' .NET is the latest web application technology created by Microsoft. .NET’s design purpose is twofold: to create sophisticated WEB based applications; and then enable those applications to be shared, or sold, across the Internet. This course introduces the advanced programmer to the .NET architecture, and then details how to use that architecture to create .NET applications using ASP, .NET, VB, and the new Visual Studio.

Pre-Requisites
This is an advanced course. In order to fully understand and apply the concepts in this course, students must already be familiar ASP and COM based component development in a non-.NET environment. Students who are newer to the ASP and COM environment should first take V310 - Introduction to Web development using IIS, ASP, MTS, COM and VBScript
To attend this course, you should be able to Create a web-based application using ASP (pre .NET).
Write COM components that run under MTS and are called from your ASP pages.
Be familiar with XML and Microsoft’s parsers and XML object model.
