'' This course is all age groups and anyone who wants to draw or paint for hobby or take this profession to a professional level. Instructors at SAAS, demonstrate techniques and skills for students to take it to any level. The course will reveal some of the details of form, construction, perspective, human anatomy, shadow and composition. Students will find skills applied in this course very beneficial.

There are many reasons for learning how to draw and paint. To begin with, the activity of drawing is a source of much pleasure and satisfaction. Drawing, sketching and painting are infinitely better than taking photographs as a mean of recording information because these techniques and skills heightens our visual awareness, helping us to see the world around us with a fresh and enquiring eye.

Contrary to Popular belief, oil painting is not a difficult medium to work with. Quite the opposite, it is a perfect medium for the beginners because it is very easy to correct what you have done, either by wiping it out or painting over it. Oil painting is a flexible medium too, its smooth buttery consistency, coupled with its slow drying time means that it can be manipulated freely and extensively on a canvas to produce indefinite range of textures and effects.

Water color is perhaps the most popular painting medium, with its unique delicacy and transparency capable of conjuring up the most fleeting and evanescent effect in nature. The fluidity of water color makes it an exciting and unpredictable medium. Our instructors as SAAS encourage students to work boldly and with confidence which is the secret to draw or paint in any medium.
