'' The growing popularity, availability, efficiency, and portability of C++ programming language and its compatibility with C is making C++ the ideal programming language for the development of large-scale software projects for a variety of applications. This in-depth review of the fundamentals and advantages of object-oriented programming methodology using C++--message passing, data hiding, encapsulation, and inheritance--examines C++ features, including classes, constructors and destructors, friends, derived classes, virtual functions, operator overloading, object-oriented design and style, modular and reusable programming style, architecture of object-oriented systems, and software development strategies. The course also concentrates on interfaces, expert systems, real-time systems, simulation, and C++ software development environments and tools.
