Training Course:Rock Climbing: Efficient Rope HandlingSchool/Trainer:Alpine Adventures, Inc. Keene, New York, United States
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' Our streamlined, comprehensive rope-handling system allows for safe and very efficient belaying and anchoring in all climbing situations.
We begin teaching the fundamentals of this system even before our students tie their first knot, and we build on these basics throughout our progression of courses.
This two-day course was designed specifically for people who have not climbed with us before, but have at least 10 days of traditional multi-pitch climbing experience and would like to develop a systematic, efficient approach to climbing.
By drawing on your climbing experience, and teaching at an accelerated pace, we’ll cover the key technical aspects of our Level I and II curricula while enjoying some fine climbing.
Successful completion of the Following Skills Evaluation that wraps up the course is a prerequisite for all of our Level III courses.
If you’ve ever arrived at a belay stance and asked yourself what you were attached to, how it got there, or how you’d ever get the rope untangled, you need this course!
