'' In this course, students practice increasingly complex and difficult court proceedings in order to build speed. Instruction focuses on technical terminology. The course concludes with a simulation of the state certification examination for legal interpreters. Prerequisite: X 407.03 Translation II: Sight and Written Translation of Legal Documents--Korean/English and X 407.04 Interpretation II: Consecutive and Simultaneous Interpretation of Motions and General Trial Testimony--Korean/English and admission to Certificate Program in Interpretation and Translation: Korean/English. Open to former students in the Korean/English program who wish to review the material or strengthen skills. Required course in Certificate Program in Interpretation and Translation: Korean/English. Students must be enrolled for credit by the first class. Visitors not permitted.
