'' Securing Networks with PIX and ASA (SNPA) v5.0 is a five-day instructor-led course on using the Cisco ASA and PIX Security Appliance Software Version 7.2 to protect network systems from intrusions and security threats. This course introduces the new Cisco ASA 5505 and 5550 Adaptive Security Appliances and covers important new Cisco ASA and PIX Security Appliance Version 7.2 features such as enhanced inspection engines for application layer protocol inspection, packet tracer, Cisco ASA Content Security and Control (CSC) Security Services Module (SSM), resource management for security contexts, and enhanced virtual private network (VPN) services such as Cisco Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) VPN Client. The course takes a task-oriented approach to teaching the skills to deploy, configure, and administer the Cisco ASA and PIX security appliances.
