'' This workshop is designed for those just getting started in Digital Audio.

In this class, students will dive into the "waves of sound," learn the basics of sound physics, and how sound is digitized. You will get a hands-on demonstration of Pro Tools, and an introduction to other audio editing software platforms. In just eight hours, you will explore processing sound, adding effects, understanding audio mixing -- and have a chance to talk about creative approaches to understanding and using digital tools in your own creative process. This class is ideal for students interested in electronic music production as well as audio in a video postproduction environment.
