Students learn about pre-loading sequences, optimizing files, hierarchical links, menu creation, go to behavior, and multi scene movies. Flash topics to be covered over this 20-hour course include ActionScript,, Interactive mouse effects, button and frame action and sound effects.
Day One --The Flash environment -- review (4 hours)
Project goal: create an animated rollover button
Vector versus bitmap graphics, importance of the library, timeline animation, motion guides, reversing frames and buttons
Day Two -- Movies within movies (8 hours)
Project goal: Flash movie that opens a separate window (Flash & HTML)
Mask layers, Actions, Javascript and Flash
Day Three -- Working with sound and complex actions (8 hours)
Project goal includes a complex, sound Flash animation with a pre-loader movie
Sound, loading actions, detecting Flash and standalone projectors
