'' Can you truly ever understand other cultures? Probably not, but you do need to be aware of how
cultural differences can affect the way you do business and how you manage people. A good place to
start improving your awareness is to understand your own culture and the assumptions and
expectations you make about how people should think and act. The aim of this workshop is to introduce
participants to many key aspects of Cultural Diversity in order to increase their awareness of how to
adjust how they work and communicate with others.
Objectives
By the end of this programme participants will be able to:
�Define what we mean by Cultural Diversity
�Describe how Cultural Diversity exists in the workplace
�Explain the benefits and disadvantages of Cultural Diversity
�Use a range of techniques to diagnose Cultural Diversity
�Identify and plan for addressing Cultural Diversity issues in the workplace
This workshop addresses Cultural Diversity in the broadest sense, covering both statutory areas such
as gender and race, as well as culture and personal preferences. It will help participants identify what
specific further actions they may need to take.
Case Study work will be used throughout this two day course to reinforce the learning of delegates.
