'' The Microsoft .NET Framework provides an integrated and managed environment for application development and execution. This intensive hands-on class provides the opportunity to apply your MS.NET knowledge developing sophisticated, user-friendly, integrated Windows Forms Desktop applications. Also discussed are the advantages and disadvantages of the ASP.NET programming model and how Smart Desktop Applications are able to overcome the weakness and still take full advantage of the internet at the same time. Topics include: windows forms programming, user-friendly interface design, GDI+, event handling, simple data access in ADO.NET, efficient data caching, interoperating with unmanaged code, security and consuming of XML Web services and smart-client deployment.
