Course Description:
'' Get a realistic view of the day-to-day work of a crime analyst in this hands-on class. Receive basic instruction on the use of the computer and software applications in the crime and intelligence analysis field. Includes exposure to the current software available to crime analysts for statistical analyses, word processing, spreadsheets, database management, and the manipulation and use of photographs and graphics. Geographic information systems and their application in crime analysis will also be introduced. Note: this class applies 40-hours toward the fulfillment of the 400-hour Practicum in Crime and Intelligence Analysis. ...''
