'' While many occupational skills are transferable from private to public sector, many of the laws, policies and procedures governing employment are unique to the public environment. In this class, you will focus on what it means to work in the public sector and examine how government agencies function and differ from the private sector in terms of structure and design. You will examine the political relationships, legislative and policy regulations, structures of public agencies, and public constituencies as part of the overall culture of public administration.
