'' Data from the U.S. Energy Information Association showed that the operations of buildings are responsible for 48% of all energy consumption in the U.S. This class will examine trends in energy use, review common energy sources and utilization, and explore reform of practices in power consumption through sustainable design and construction. Class discussion will focus on alternative energy sources and innovative energy efficient design. The guidelines of building commissioning will be reviewed and integrated into the design process. ...''
