'' Web services are a popular way to communicate data over the Internet, and databases have long been an integral part of any Web application. Developers will learn to integrate SQL and SQL/XML data with the latest .NET technologies in this certificate program. The focus will be on ADO.NET and LINQ, which can be used to help build and deploy data driven Web sites and services.
ADO.NET is a set of computer software components that can be used by programmers to access and modify data and data services stored in relational databases. It is a universal data model that can be used with virtually all programming languages and data sources. Microsoft Language Integrated Query (LINQ) offers developers a new way to query data and improves developer productivity with the benefits of IntelliSense and compile-time error checking.
The Certificate in Data Technologies for .NET consists of two required courses totaling 45 hours of lecture, lab and discussion. 4.5 Continuing Education Units will be awarded to the certificate graduate.
