'' In the Certificate in Silverlight/WPF, you will focus on the WPF architecture and building GUI applications using ExpressionBlend and C#. Class projects will include building user interfaces using Expression Blend and Visual Studio 2008.
Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) allows you to build interfaces that incorporate text, documents, media, and 2D and 3D graphics, animations. Using a unified technology, developers can create interfaces for Windows as well as Web-based applications.
Silverlight is a cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device plug-in for delivering the next generation of media experiences and rich interactive applications including video, audio, animation, and graphics for the Web and beyond. Silverlight enables the creation of content and applications that run within multiple browsers and across multiple operating systems.
The Certificate in Silverlight/WPF consists of one required course totaling 24 hours of lecture, lab and discussion. 2.4 Continuing Education Units will be awarded to the certificate graduate.
