'' Get the in-depth training you need to design, deploy, and maintain Windows Server 2008 Active Directory in an enterprise environment. You will focus on the Active Directory server lifecycle and the Active Directory Domain Services and Active Directory service roles.
Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Configure Domain Name System (DNS) for Active Directory
- Install, manage and secure Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS)
- Configure an Active Directory infrastructure
- Troubleshoot domain controllers creation
- Configure additional Active Directory server roles
- Create and maintain Active Directory objects
- Maintain the Active Directory environment
- Restructure existing domains and migrate to Windows Server 2008 Active Directory
- Manage Flexible Single Master Operation (FSMO) Domain Controllers
- Configure a reliable replication topology
- Configure Active Directory replication topology with sites
- Create and manage a RODC
- Leverage Read-Only Domain Controllers (RODC) to implement database security
- Restructure AD with ADMT
- Remove superfluous domain and DC objects
- Troubleshoot Active Directory service failures
- Install domain services on Server Core
This course also prepares students for the Microsoft exam 70-640: Configuring Windows Server 2008 Active Directory.
The Certificate in Windows Server 2008 - Active Directory Configuration consists of one required course totaling 40 hours of lecture and discussion. 4.0 Continuing Education Units will be awarded to the certificate graduate.
