Course Description:

'' The revenue cycle is a key component of the healthcare delivery system. It is the complex and evolving mechanism by which providers perpetuate their existence via reimbursement for services rendered. Unfortunately, this critical process is often overlooked and/or misunderstood by providers and business leaders.

Physicians, typically the owners of the practice, are not necessarily trained to understand the nuances of the revenue cycle or accounts-receivable management. They often lack the background to identify key issues and ask appropriate questions. In addition, they rely on broad concepts and anecdotal data, often from colleagues in other practices. This often leads to the misinterpretation of data, lost opportunities, and poor decision making. Business-office managers or administrators often understand the basic concepts but lack the analytical tools to identify opportunities for improvement. They are also prone to address the "issue of the day" and not focus on the long-term management of accounts receivable.

Upon registering, you are given an initial six months to complete the program. Should you need more time, you may request a 6-month extension at no additional charge.
