Course Description:

'' The digital compositing program consists of learning the art of digital compositing and becoming familiar with compositing software used in professional settings (Fusion by EyeOn Software). The length of the program is 16 weeks, divided into three parts, and the curriculum is designed for 8 to 12 students.

Training in this art is based around two complementary approaches that are taught in parallel:

Teaching students to “see�images, that is to say, to identify, understand and define the actions that must be performed in compositing.
Demonstrating to the students the theoretical and technical concepts that make these actions possible.

These two approaches will be pursued by means of:

Theory classes, some with supervised, practical exercises in the lab.
Practical classes dealing with a limited number of software programs and focusing on the production of one or more student demos.

The theory classes will be general in scope to begin with, and they will become more specialized over the course of the program. There will also be fewer theory classes as the program moves forward, whereas practical classes will increase in number. At the end, the candidate will have a final demo made in class illustrating his or her mastery of compositing techniques.
