Course Description:

'' The ACU program provides an opportunity for Avid Xpress and Media Composer systems editors to measure their operational “know-how�and grants official Avid certification to all who successfully demonstrate advanced knowledge. A rigorous exam will test a user’s memory for Avid software functions, workflows and operational short-cuts. Designed as a process for self-assessment, and encouraging self-improvement, the ACU program aims to raise the bar for an operator’s level of knowledge and to help realize a new standard in Avid system comprehension, for both end users and system owners alike.

Prerequisites
Although there are no required courses prior to scheduling your exam session, Avid Educational Services strongly suggests taking classes in areas where your experience or previous training may benefit from further attention. Exam will cover the topics viewed in the following courses:

Avid 101 - Editing with Media Composer
Avid 110 - Introduction to Effects with media Composer
Avid 239 - Color Correction with medai Composer

Length
Average 2 hours.

Language
This course can be presented in French or in English in accordance with demand.

Literature

Diploma
The exam leads to the ACU title. Candidates who succeeded the exam will be listed in Avid’s Certified editors’ database.
