The Diploma of Project Management is a competency-based award at Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF 2007) level 5. Competencies at the Diploma level describe the capabilities of a project manager who plans and directs the work of team members.
Participants demonstrate evidence of the required competencies through formative assessment items throughout the course. These assessment items consist of activities and exercises based on actual and simulated project management scenarios. Quizzes are also used to test knowledge and understanding. On completion of the course, participants undertake a two-hour examination.
Following the course, participants have up to six months in which to assemble a portfolio of workplace evidence relating to the nine units of competency. Participants then receive a Statement of Attainment for each unit of competency for which they are assessed as competent. A participant who is assessed as competent in all nine units of competency will receive the award of Diploma of Project Management. ...''
