Course Description:
'' Do you have a new digital camera? Do you wonder what to do with it? If you have taken any photos in the past, do you sometimes think yours are "boring" compared to others? Are you are a true beginner and want to know more about how to take clear pictures and how to download them onto your computer?
In the morning of this one-day class, we will go over photography basics, including composition, lighting, and avoiding blur. During lunch, you may take a few photos for us to edit on the computer during the afternoon.
In the afternoon, we will "take photos further". We will download your photos and look at them on a screen and share insights based on the principles learned in the morning about composition, color, and lighting. Then we will use Picasa 3 software (a free-download) to edit the photos if there is any time remaining.
You should bring:
Your camera and its manual
If you have any, two or three photos you have taken (on your camera card or hard copies)
Specific questions you have.
