'' The University of Calgary and ADVOCIS (www.advocis.ca and www.advociscalgary.ca) have partnered to offer an education program approved by the Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC). Upon completion of the approved education program you qualify to write the Certified Financial Plannerâ„?(CFPâ„? Examination, set and administered by FPSC. All licensing of the designation is through FPSC.
Advocis provides comprehensive and rigorous education training in pursuit of a credential that identifies individuals who are dedicated to a high level of professionalism in providing financial planning advice. The Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) awards the Certified Financial Planner credential to individuals who have met its educational requirement, passed FPSC’s CFP Examination, completed the work experience requirement and agree to abide by the CFPâ„?Code of Ethics. In addition, upon completion of all four courses, 100 transfer credit hours may be applied to a Management Certificate Program.
