'' This course provides essential tools for business analysts to: plan and control their work, better integrate their business analyst role into a project delivery environment, and effectively manage projects. Examples are taken from business analysis practices and conform to the internationally recognized standards of the Project Management Institute (PMI). You will gain practical skills to: identify and avoid common causes of project failure; structure a project team; create a scope statement; identify, assess and manage risks; analyze project scope by breaking it into components; model the flow and timing of a project; identify critical path and high priority tasks; assess resource requirements; develop a budget; learn methods for schedule compression; monitor and communicate project status; and identify the need for corrective measures when necessary.
