Course Description:

'' The Cisco Transport Manager (CTM) Operation and Maintenance course enables the students to use the CTM network management system to manage a variety of Cisco optical networking products from the Cisco 15000 family. Working in small groups of up to three people per node, students complete a wide range of tasks covering many features and functions. They start with the installation procedures, followed by the user administration. The focus of the course in on the element management, covering the inventory, configuration, performance, security and fault management, including reporting. The course concludes with system administration and troubleshooting discussion.
Course Objectives
After completing this course the student should be able to:
Identify and operate the major functions of CTM
Install and start the client software
Perform user administration
Add new Network Elements (NEs)
Use the fault management and alarm reporting features
