'' Does the thought of cooking an entire holiday meal from scratch make you want to turn the calendar to January? The rush of holiday entertaining is before you, but do you have the menus and strategy to tackle the most anticipated meals of the year?
Both experienced food enthusiasts and beginners alike will benefit from the CIA’s Holiday Boot Camp. Our two-day intensive Holiday Boot Camp will give you the game plans, recipes, and confidence to cook for all your holiday gatherings. You’ll learn to roast poultry and meats to perfection, make home-style pan gravy, and prepare traditional side dishes and tempting desserts.
This Boot Camp program will also provide you with new twists on the old favorites, with ideas and techniques for turning your ordinary recipes into extraordinary ones. Learn to create delicious and beautifully presented appetizers, vegetables, main courses, and soups that will wow your dinner guests. Be warned, though, they’ll be so impressed, they’ll want to come back next year, too!
During this two-day immersion, you will also:
dine in two of the CIA’s on-campus public restaurants
taste alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages associated with the holidays
discuss and prepare festive international holiday desserts
tour the CIA campus
When you enroll in Holiday Boot Camp, we’ll supply you with a chef’s uniform, including a jacket, pants, and a neckerchief. Paper chef’s hats, side towels, and aprons will be provided in class.
