Worry no more. In our four-day Entertaining and Dinner Parties Boot Camp, you’ll gain the tools, knowledge, and planning know-how to put on a memorable event, whether you’re casually entertaining with cocktails or hosting an elegant dinner party at home.
Our chef-instructors and faculty members will share their secrets for success as you experience CIA hospitality at its finest. You will:
dine in four of the CIA’s on-campus public restaurants
discuss party-planning strategies focusing on timing, mise en place, and organization
learn a variety of techniques for hosting themed dinner parties
explore various styles of plate and platter presentations
participate in champagne and mixology lectures and tastings
tour the CIA campus
As a Entertaining and Dinner Parties Boot Camp participant, you’ll receive two chef’s uniforms, each with a jacket, pants, and a neckerchief. Paper chef’s hats, side towels, and aprons will be provided in class.
