'' You’ve been asking for it, and at long last, we present you with Advanced Boot Camp. As veteran cooks, we know you can navigate your way around the kitchen and through a recipe. In this boot camp though, we’re going to have you looking at food on a whole different plane. From in-depth sauce exploration to meat fabrication to the science behind the cooking process, be prepared for a full-on culinary immersion.
During the five-day Advanced Boot Camp, our chefs will lead insightful, interactive demonstrations to deconstruct the cooking process and unveil the secrets that lead to culinary mastery. Along the way, you’ll be introduced to many innovative and exotic ingredients that you can add to your ever-expanding repertoire and will rediscover seemingly common ingredients, long taken for granted. Of course, you too will have your turn in the kitchen as you put this new-found knowledge to practice in extensive hands-on cooking segments. Enlist now to take your cooking to the next level�
In this class you will also: dine in four of the CIA’s on-campus public restaurants
learn to fabricate an assortment of protein items
prepare a myriad of grand and derivative sauces
participate in blind tastings
attend an expert lecture and tasting featuring high-end and exotic ingredients
participate in an interactive lecture illustrating the dynamics of taste and flavor
partake in a wine and cheese pairing lecture and tasting
tour the CIA campus
As a CIA Advanced Boot Camp participant, you will receive a 6-inch boning knife from the CIA’s acclaimed Masters CollectionTM. We will also supply you with two chef’s uniforms, each with a jacket, pants, and neckerchief. Paper chef’s hats, side towels, and aprons will be provided in class.
