Course Description:

'' A Joint Honours degree is a combination of two different subjects �you will study 50% of one subject and 50% of another.

The Accounting Joint Honours course develops your understanding of accounting information rather than developing technical expertise in its creation. Accounting plays an essential role within business, and being able to competently discuss finance and accounting concepts is a skill highly sought after by employers in all sectors. This course is for students who wish to understand accountancy within a wider business context.

Modules cover topics such as the social and environmental aspects of accountancy and company performance evaluation �which are designed to complement studies in the subject that forms the other half of this joint degree.

This joint degree is in effect an opportunity to study across two disciplines. This demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to stretch yourself. It also has particular value for employers.

Teaching/assessment
Teaching will be through lectures, tutorials and seminars, group work and self-directed study. Assessment for each module will include coursework (such as presentations, essays and reports) and normally an examination or test.
