Course Description:
'' Normally it takes three years to complete all ACCA examinations via full-time study at Leicester Business School. Depending on your level of experience and prior qualifications, the ACCA may exempt you from certain examinations and you may be able to start the course directly in the second or third year, but this decision is at the discretion of the ACCA and the Leicester Business School tutors.
Teaching commences in mid-September each year and runs every week up until the ACCA exams in June, except for vacations at Christmas and New Year (December/January) and Easter (March/April). Formal tuition is finished by the end of April, but exam preparation classes continue until the exams in June. A precise programme for each paper will be issued by the lecturers in the first week of tuition in September.
Year one
F1 Accountant in Business
F2 Management Accounting
F3 Financial Accounting
You also study two Leicester Business School undergraduate Accounting and Finance modules alongside your ACCA papers: Accounting 1 and Business Communications and Analysis for Accountants.
Year two
You study towards six Part Two ACCA papers ? three papers to be examined in December and three papers to be examined in June:
F4 Business Law
F5 Performance Management
F6 Business Taxation
F7 Financial Reporting
F8 Audit
F9 Financial Management.
Year three
You may also study additional professional accounting classes, covering subjects such as:
P1 Professional Accountant
P2 Corporate Reporting
P3 Business Analysis.
Plus two optional papers (one paper to be examined in December, one in June) and additional professional accounting classes from the following option papers:
P4 Advanced Financial Management
P5 Performance Management
P6 Advanced Taxation
P7 Advanced Audit.
You will also attend regular tutorials with the Course Leader in all three years.
