Teaching/assessment

International students come to study in the UK because the quality of our teaching is amongst the best in the world. The styles and methods that our teachers use, however, may be very different from those in your home country. At DMU we don’t give you all the answers �we teach you how to research and source information, how to question published ideas and theories and how to think creatively �you’ll be learning to learn. You need to be prepared to work in groups, deliver presentations, enhance your communication skills and motivate yourself to study many hours outside of the classroom.

Teaching will be delivered through formal lectures, more informal seminars, tutorials, workshops and e-learning packages. Assessment will usually be through a combination of individual and groups work, presentations, essays, reports and examinations.
