Topics include basic setup, adjusting and customizing preferences and settings, capturing video/audio, project management, edit sync material, trim sequences, slip and slide editing, audio editing, video generators, creating titles and final output including laying back to videotape and exporting audio as an OMF file for use in a sound sweetening environment.
At the end of class students will be able to:
Input media
Have basic knowledge for setting up a Final Cut Pro (FCP) system and its requirements
Understand settings and preferences
Have a knowledge of FCP’s basic tool set, command, functions, and features
Edit material into sequences and fine tune sequences
Work with multiple video tracks
Edit audio
Render audio and video, use real time effects
Incorporate titles and transitions into sequences
Output a finished project back to videotape
