This two-day class is designed for those who have mastered basic editing skills and want to get more out of Final Cut Pro. This class focuses on workflow and productivity, as well as advanced editing techniques. Extensive coverage of media management puts you in control of disk usage and controlling source material. There is a heavy emphasis on real-world workflow and usability issues, including working with clips, storyboards, transitions, and audio. A variety of advanced editing techniques are used, including creating subclips, advanced trimming and editing techniques, and working with multiple tracks.

Classes are taught using Apple’s Authorized Curriculum and Instructors to ensure the highest level of professionalism in digital video technology. Class size is limited to six participants.

At the end of class students will be able to:

Understand and use the various media management operations and interfaces
Understand how to use and manage Offline/Online editing
Trim or delete media files from within Final Cut Pro and also be able to manage media files and render files at the Finder level
Move media, projects, and settings between Final Cut Pro and other applications and systems
Use various methods for breaking up master clips into subclips
Create and use custom transitions and Favorite transitions
Understand and use the full potential of Storyboard editing and all of its options
Use shortcuts and productivity tips to manipulate clips and Timeline views
Take advantage of advanced editing techniques to create a more streamlined workflow
Use advanced trimming techniques to deal with real world situations including working with multiple tracks ...''
