Course Description:
'' English modules allow increasing specialisation from year one to year three. In the first year you are introduced to major literary genres and key concepts in film theory; the second year focuses on literature from different historical periods (from the Medieval period to the 21st Century) and American and British cinema; and the final year provides a wide range of options, such as Studies in Literature and Film, Cult Film, French Cinema, Modernism and Modernity and Autobiography (Writing the Self).
Teaching/assessment One hour lectures, two hour workshops, three hour screenings and one hour seminars. There are normally three or four assessment components in each year-long course, which include essays, presentations, screenplays, journals, examinations, the compilation of an anthology and creative work.
