Course Description:
'' In year one, you will explore your skills through projects which cover principles, concepts, tools and techniques in graphic communication. The emphasis is on creativity, visual language, visualisation skills, communication and problem solving.
In year two you begin to develop individual pathways within graphic design. Negotiated projects alongside specialist options in advertising, branding, editorial design, photography and publishing.
In the final year you will work on a series of personal projects to build your portfolio, as well as acquiring professional skills to help fast-track your career. You will also undertake commercial design briefs and can participate in award schemes including D&AD, ISTD, and the RSA Student Design Awards.
Excellent specialist facilities include Macintosh-equipped computer suites, high specification digital imaging equipment and dedicated drawing and visualisation studios.
Teaching/assessment
Teaching is through interactive lectures, team-based seminars, practical workshops and team and one-to-one tutorials.
