'' Eighty percent of a municipality’s problems are caused by twenty percent of its sanitary sewers and storm water drainage systems. The best way to avoid the majority of future problems is to pay greater attention to them during the design phase.

This 4 day workshop is aimed at those who want to hone their skills in sanitary sewer and stormwater drainage systems design, and stormwater management. In a workshop setting, under the guidance of your instructor, you will complete a sanitary sewer and stormwater drainage system design as well as use a case study to discuss and develop a plan to mitigate the environmental impacts caused by urban development and the management of stormwater. These exercises are presented to bring to you the practical experience of many years in a short time of four days.

Objectives
To understand the basics of sanitary and stormwater systems design.
To develop skills to design new sanitary sewer and stormwater drainage systems as well as develop innovative stormwater management plans to mitigate the environmental impacts due to urban development.
