'' Municipal wastewater treatment needs a suitable combination of techniques and processes to achieve the best results. This seminar is designed to provide the user with a solid understanding of the most important principles and practices of this discipline. The topics include municipal wastewater characterization and treatment, using both established conventional and advanced treatment technologies, including classical settling, secondary treatment, chemical and biological nutrient removal, filtration, (reverse osmosis, ion exchange, carbon adsorption), and disinfection. Objectives To provide practitioners of wastewater engineering a sound working knowledge of conventional and advanced treatment processes applied in both centralized and decentralized wastewater treatment plants.
