�Alberta Environment developed the Risk Based Tier I & Tier II
Guidelines.
�To determine the need for SSRA
�To conduct an SSRA
�To apply the Guidelines to different exposure pathways
�Use the Johnson and Ettinger Model to develop risk based standards
for vapor intrusion into buildings fron contaminated soil and groundwater.

The Seminar Will Present:
�Risk Assessment approach used by Alberta Environment
�SSRA to develop risk based standards
�Tiered Criteria used by Alberta Environment/CCME Canada Wide
Standard for TPH in Soil
