'' This course is designed for students who have a basic understanding of data communication and networking principals. The TCP/IP Introduction and Advanced course provides a basic understanding of the configuration, communication, and management of one of the most widely used internetworking protocols and the backbone of todays Internet. They should have an understanding of the Introduction to Data Communication course as a prerequisite.
Objectives: In this course, you will describe the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, TCP/IP for short, protocol suite. You will also compare the Open System Interconnection, OSI for short, reference model with the TCP/IP model and define the TCP/IP structure. In addition, you will describe subnetting, supernetting, and multicasting.
