This set of courses describes and contrast the different IEEE 802 Wireless technologies and standards. For instance, the courses identify how the IEEE standards for 802.11 and 803.5.11 Bluetooth® are being used for deploying Wireless Local Area Networks, and Wireless Personal Area Networks, respectively. Technologies such as provided by 802.15.4 ZigBee for large sensor networks, 802.16 WiMAX for broadband and mobile broadband wireless access and Metropolitan Area Networks, and 802.20 for broadband mobile data solutions, are also explained.
