'' Explore and develop your drawing and painting of plants in this course. Through demonstration, illustration, and one-on-one guidance, you will develop your abilities in botanical illustration and in design, drawing, colour, perspective, and tone. Choosing from a selection of seasonal plants you will expand your observation techniques while working on tonal studies in pencil and watercolour. Some history of botanical art from its early beginnings to contemporary illustrations will be discussed. You will gain a basic understanding of simple botany, as well as a new way of looking at plant forms that will bring depth and perception to your artwork, be it realistic or abstract.
