'' This course provides an introduction to the fundamentals of drawing and painting and the transition from
black-and-white to colour. You will investigate line, form, value, colour, and pictorial composition using a
variety of drawing materials, and water-based paints. You will begin with drawing and move into painting
using still lifes, the model, and imagination. Guided exercises and discussion of historical and contemporary art
will be used to support the learning process.
