'' This course introduces you to professional rendering, a sophisticated drawing technique used to accurately and realistically depict the material, colour, and texture of the basic shapes and forms of 3D objects in a 2D format. Through slide presentations, demonstrations, in-class assignments and projects, properties and applications of different media such as markers, coloured pencils, pastels, felt pens, and gouache paints will be discussed and practiced. Techniques to blend marker colours, render surface textures and manipulation of tones, gradations, and reflections will be introduced so that you can render objects of a variety materials such as plastic, wood, stone, metal, and glass. This course is applicable to anyone wishing to enhance their skills in presentation drawings for communication design, architecture, industrial design, furniture and interior design, illustration, and animation.
