'' This course is an introduction to painting and two dimensional design. Various painting
techniques are introduced while you explore basic composition, colour, and use of tools
and materials. Through hands-on experience, you take an investigative approach to the
techniques and methods artists have used through the ages. Linear structure, mass and
spatial properties are explored as you experiment with a variety of techniques including
impasto, transparencies, and decalcomania.
